The gas injection process is an innovative technology that opens up new possibilities in the field of aluminium die casting. The process enables the production of cavities in components during the casting process. This allows complex structures and internal channels to be created in aluminium castings without the need for additional processing steps.

The targeted injection of gas into the molten aluminium during the casting process creates cavities that reduce the weight of the components and at the same time improve their strength. The gas injection process has already proven itself in plastic injection moulding and is now to be transferred to aluminium die casting. It enables more efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality components with complex geometries. Optimised material properties, higher mould filling and a reduction in distortion and porosity are further advantages of the process.
