A beautiful saying goes that the one who wants to grow old must start early. Ali definitely started early. This doesn't mean that the native Pakistani is old, but rather that he has already experienced a lot in his past. Before coming to Switzerland in 1995 and to ALUWAG in 1998, he traveled a lot, worked here and there, and enjoyed the benefits of life. His family is at home all over the world and yet well connected. The cohesion in his family knows neither distance nor time, and so no time difference is an obstacle for a good advice. With ALUWAG AG, Ali has a family on site. He appreciates this, because honesty, fairness and team spirit are important qualities that accompany him through life - regardless of age.

Damian Föllmi und Silvan Gscheider
The shared office is not the only parallel that Damian and Silvan have: their hearts beat faster when it comes to central issues in technical production. In their respective roles, they ensure the technical operation of ALUWAG AG. Damian as head of the Engineering Department, Silvan Gscheider as a designer. They learn a lot from each other. For example, Damian, who has been with the company for around 22 years, was responsible for Silvan's apprenticeship training a few years ago - in turn, Silvan brings fresh wind to the team with his young years, of which he has been a part since 2015. Both recharge their energy for the demanding work at home: Damian is a father of two and when it's not raging in his own four walls, he finds balance in sports. Silvan lives with his 13-member family in Jonschwil. In dealing with his siblings, he has learned what it means to take responsibility. The closeness to their fellow human beings plays a major role in both their lives - whether at work or in private.
Daniel isn't far from wherever there is screwing, developing and repairing. When the young polymechanic isn't busy making aluminum components at ALUWAG AG, he spends hours at home tinkering with his motorbike in his garage - with a preference for the Italian models from Puch and Ciao. Calmness dominates his professional and private life: Daniel appreciates when things aren't too turbulent and describes himself as a relaxed, collegial optimist who likes to work precisely. For He has been working for the company since 2014 and is actively involved in the further development of his area and apprentice training. But the peace and quiet seems to be over, because the trained polymechanic recently became a father. There are three of them instead of two on a beach vacation: Daniel's favorite vacation when it comes to switching off.
In his 43 years of working at ALUWAG AG, Elmar has experienced many difficult times. And it was precisely these that were so valuable to him, because they allowed him to develop as a person and therefore also as a company. Because of this optimistic attitude to everyday work The tool maker and trained farmer also states in his private life: Cohesion is everything, looking forward is his credo, not backwards. Elmar describes himself as a family man and values harmony - whether at work or at home. He loves being in the Being in nature recharges your batteries when you can work out while cycling or jogging. And your heart especially warms when you can pass on something: good advice, valuable knowledge that you have acquired over the years or a tip for the most beautiful hiking route in the Alpstein.
Florentina learned early on that it's worth standing up for yourself and others. The native Kosovar, whose parents fled to Switzerland in 1998, is ambitious and fought her way through her younger years with a lot of grit and self-confidence. Without any training It was difficult to get in touch with people of the same age in Switzerland, let alone to build a social environment. She joined the company as a processing employee in 2003. She has completed further training as a quality specialist, is a part-time mother and is affectionately called FloFlo internally. A nickname that was given to her by a former employee. Open, direct and yet very sensitive, she dares to hit the table as a woman in a work environment dominated by men. This mentality and a good level of rigor She also teaches her two children, because they should be able to go their own way at some point - only one thing is important to her: they should follow it independently.
Goran sees himself as a mediator - whether at work or at home, because two hearts beat in the Serbian-born chest. One for his country of origin, Serbia, one for his homeland, Switzerland, where he lived with his parents in 1971 emigrated. Here, in what was initially unknown, he learned to appreciate the importance of family and tradition. You are a stranger here and a stranger there. Reason enough to pass on to your children values that shape their character and allow them to develop skillfully to move between two worlds. Goran also follows this principle when dealing with his colleagues at ALUWAG AG, where he has now worked for around 22 years. A familiar environment is like a firmly rooted tree that you can hold on to , when things aren't going straight. On the other hand, when Goran is on his quad, he goes straight and, above all, up high. With the wind roaring around his ears and his wife, who often accompanies him, he switches off Everyday life.
Jasnica Stanojevic, Xhenete Denjali, Daliborka Jovanovic
Xhenete, Daliborka and Jasnica couldn't be more different, and yet they have so much in common: The three women, who originally come from Croatia and Serbia, are work colleagues and friends. They worked in processing at ALUWAG AG until 2015 then worked in another company for a long time and returned to Niederbüren at the beginning of 2021. All three of them have children and also spend their free time together - cooking, grilling and going on excursions with the children. Their origins bind them together, each of them stands for them Others say there is laughter and yes, sometimes there are arguments. That's just part of it. They joke about themselves: If we were twins, one could even work for the other.
Uncomplicated and relaxed. Two characteristics that fit Martin like a glove. Before the measurement technology employee found ALUWAG AG 24 years ago, his path took him from his training to various jobs in tool making and then a long one Travel through Australia. Always in his backpack: a lot of courage and a large portion of curiosity. His areas of interest are correspondingly diverse. Whether traveling, cycling, music or yoga: Martin can be enthusiastic about a lot of things - true to the motto, if you don't dare, you don't win . And all of this benefits him in everyday life: He is a team player, but can also work well alone and likes to withdraw from time to time. At ALUWAG AG he finds the right balance.
Two hearts beat in Matthias' chest: If you ask the native German whether he misses his homeland of Brandenburg, he can't really answer the question. He doesn't have to, because: Home is a feeling, not a geographical state. Since then Matthias has been at home in Switzerland for 14 years. He enjoys the short distances, whether from his home in Bischofszell to Niederbüren or from the foundry to the executive floor. At ALUWAG AG he appreciates the many opportunities for professional and personal development. The fact that the company produces niche products ", he also really likes it because it makes the work unique and challenging. You don't do work according to the rules, it's more about being a team player, helping each other and working precisely.
Pragmatic and yet with great attention to detail: A strategy with which the young project manager Nikola combines work, studies and private life. There is also enough time for a jog or a walk with the four-legged family member. Nikola has been working at ALUWAG AG since 2016, completed training as a casting technologist and quickly knew: He still had to move forward in his career. He ambitiously manages projects during the day and crams in the evenings for his studies to become a HF automation technician. You can have time for everything, you have to just take them. Where he's right, he's right. So he's thinking about going on a bigger trip after his studies: for example to America. And if it doesn't have to be overseas, then he'll visit his family, who are both lives in Bosnia and Serbia.
